On the face of it Harley's should be a low-risk prospect for motorcycle insurers. There are hundreds of thousands of riders buying Harley Davidson Motorcycle Insurance - these bikes are slow compared to sport bikes, and tend to be ridden by more mature riders.

However a couple of factors swing the pendulum the other way:

In a nutshell, being unfit to drive through drink or drugs invalidates your insurance - Insurance companies are not obliged to consider your claim. This applies to all vehicles - bikes and cars.

This can tranform the price or value of a Harley Davidson enormously - sometimes by a factor of 3 or 4, So if you have a heavily customized Harley Davidson or special or clone, you should make sure your insurers have an agreed value for your bike.
